Gillian Meijer a grandi en Afrique de l'Est, la plus jeune fille de parents britanniques. Formé au Kenya et en Suisse, elle a également vécu aux Etats-Unis, les Pays-Bas, Belgique, Espagne, Royaume-Uni et la France. Gillian peint depuis une vingtaine d'années et est autodidacte. Elle vit et travaille actuellement dans le sud-ouest de la France, où elle continue à peindre avec passion depuis son tres luminieux atelier.
Gillian est fasciné par les visages. Elle a commencé sa fracturation visages étranges cubistes et récemment fragmentations plus organique.
En France, on appelle son travail "Désordre Intime".
Gillian Meijer grew up in East Africa, the youngest daughter of British parents. Educated in Kenya and Switzerland, she has also lived in USA, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, United Kingdom and France. Gillian has been painting for some twenty years and is mainly self-taught. She now lives and works in south-west France, where she continues to paint passionately from her stunning atelier built in wood and glass.
Gillian is fascinated by faces. She has begun fracturing her strange faces with cubistic and recently more organic fragmentations.
In France they call her work "Désordre Intime".
